One Copper Penny

I have a price on my head.
Only 10 cents.
She said:
"Penny for your thoughts?"
and I thought to myself
that she was cheap
because 10 cents was a good price.
But I didn't say that.
Because I didn't want
to share my thoughts with her
and be sold
for just
one
penny.

Speechless

There you go again
Shooting your mouth off.
It was so pretty.
Now it is
Just
A gaping
Bloody
Hole.

Distillation

So many words. My meaning gets lost in the words.
I can't seem to find the right ones.
How can I tell you that I love you?
I can't seem to find the right words to convey
The depth of feeling inside.
Are there words that I could assemble that convey
the fact that I adore you with all my heart?
The flowers blooming remind me how you make my soul feel light.
The sun's warm rays touching the water
remind me how you make my heart smile.
Looking to the dark emptiness of space
reminds me how I feel hollow when I am without you.
When I think of the future I know
I want to travel through all the days of my life with you beside me.
Please say you want that too. What words can I say
to convey my hopes and dreams to you?
To help you to see that I want to spend the rest of my life with you?

Dis-ease

A Rusty nail
once useful
Now
Tetanus
To the
Unsuspecting
Barefoot dancer.

Slave

Needle on ground.
Invisible chain
Holds in thrall.
Face up palms down.
Puddle chair accommodates
Slumberer
in reverie
Of
Long forgotten
Hopes and dreams.

Devoured

You grow into me
like a cancer...
Devouring...

Eating
Me
From
Inside

Until there is nothing left but pain.

Siri's Poem

To read between why
Requires empty space.

NOTE:  I call this Siri's poem because Siri kind of wrote it.  Ok well I was trying to get a poem in my head down and had no paper plus I was driving so I thought I would just ask Siri to take a note.  Well she botched every word I said but it came out interesting just the same :)!

We Must Travel Together

We're not birds of a feather
but we must travel together
despite race, creed, or gender.
This place is just a lender.

Tomorrow

When will I...

I will tomorrow
But tomorrow never arrives
So I never.

The future is here.
 It is built on today.
All the todays
Add up
To something
or nothing
Depending
On
You

Vast

Vast is relative
Demands to be put into perspective.

I am an amoeba
This drop of water is my ocean universe.
So vast.

Existence beyond this drop is unfathomable.
How can I see
Beyond what is already
so vast
to me.

Where?

Come away,
Away with me
To the land we cannot see.

We will not see it when we are there
But in this place we will not care.

In this land there is no sky,
And yet we find that we can fly.

We will be here while we are there.
We will be somewhere
and nowhere.

Simple

No end
No beginning
Just changing
Infinitely
With continuity.
Universal complexity
Distills down to simplicity
A quantum singularity
Bending views of reality.

Sparkle

Cold night air caress
yields teardrops on soft petals
which become diamonds in the sun.

Fading

Fairy dust snow laying on the ground.
Follow tracks to find what is not found.
Wind blows gently.
Close my eyes
And lose my way to nowhere.
